HISTORY

For years, iron fences were constructed and fabricated from heavy iron materials which would be similar to what a “Blacksmith” tradesman would utilize. Some people called this “wrought iron” and some called it “rot iron”.  However, over historical time, other methods and techniques were developed to save energy, time and materials which of course equals lower costs. Eventually, the solid products became tubular which resulted a huge savings. The materials were primed and painted (usually black in color) but always resulted in having to repaint in subsequent years as rust would appear in some manner. However, a new technique of protective coatings was invented resulting in a heated “powder coated” process which became a far superior treatment and saved a repainting process in the following years of an installed fence. Well, then, aluminum tubing was introduced in this industry and it captured a huge size of the fence market. In fact, for residential fences, powder coated aluminum became nearly 100% of the market as 1) it never rusts and 2) comes with a “Life-time” warranty. We fully believe the quality of a “never rust” product and a “Lifetime warranty” is the best option for our residential customers. We still provide some tubular steel fence products but are usually for industrial applications where superior strength and height is critical. It is noteworthy, powder coated steel fence products come with a “Limited 15-year warranty” and not a “Lifetime Warranty”.

Made In USA

We strive to purchase “Made In USA” aluminum fence products. There are several “Made In China” imports that are readily available in the fence industry. In fact, there are several vendors for the Nashville fence market offering “Made In China” imported aluminum fence. We decided many years ago to purchase “Made In USA” aluminum and steel fence products. Often, we suggest to our potential customer to ask our competitors if they are quoting an “imported” or “Made In USA” fence product as a “Made In China” import cost less than what we offer.

Stocking Inventory

We currently purchase full truckloads of 4ft high and 5ft high “Made In USA” aluminum fence with a smooth (flush) top. You can see this style in some of our pictures where we show a 3-rail panel with a smooth flush top which is our largest seller. Other styles and heights are available of which we sometimes have in stock or we would have to order on a case by case basis.
